Aid to families in need

Direct support to the most fragile families to meet basic needs, in a timely and dignified way.

Project image - Aid to families in needSupport for families in difficulty is provided through targeted and timely interventions designed to address specific needs linked to their economic and social conditions. The NGO intervenes in situations of vulnerability by offering direct assistance, for example by contributing to rent payments or covering essential expenses that families are unable to manage on their own.

At the same time, part of the interventions aims to promote forms of economic autonomy by supporting the launch of small income-generating activities. This approach not only responds to an immediate need but also helps create the conditions for greater long-term stability, guiding families toward progressive independence.

Situations of vulnerability are identified together with the Beninese volunteers and local reference figures, who know the communities firsthand and can spot needs that often escape institutional aid. Each case is carefully assessed to make sure the intervention is truly useful and does not create dependency on external support.

Support takes very different forms depending on the need: food kits and essential goods in emergencies, small repair work on housing, support for single-parent families hit by unexpected events such as illness or loss of work. In every intervention, the priority is to preserve the dignity of the people involved.

«Arriving in time, before fragility turns into chronic poverty: that is the difference we strive to make every day.»

Project moment - Aid to families in needEvery form of support is designed as a bridge toward a more stable condition. Whenever possible, supported families are connected to the NGO's other projects, from school enrolment for children to health support, so that a one-off intervention can become part of a broader path toward autonomy and security.
